Central Texas Bass Anglers is a Honey Hole affiliated club based out of the Killeen/ Fort Hood area in Central Texas. The CTBA was established in 1998 to improve the skills of bass anglers through a fellowship program and a friendly exchange of bass fishing techniques and ideas. We meet at 7 PM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Hallmark Lanes in "The 11th Frame Lounge" in Killeen.

The CTBA fishes 12 club tournaments per year. Our tournament schedule includes such lakes as O.H. Ivie, Fayette County, Decker, Fairfield and Stillhouse Hollow. We draw partners for club tournaments and allow guests to fish one tournament per year. Our tournament entry fees are $15 with an additional $5 for Big Bass. We pay 100% back at our club tournaments. We use a point system to select the Top Six team for the Honey Hole Top Six Championship. Points for the CTBA Top Six, Angler of the Year, Lunker of the Year, and Sportsman of the Year are accumulated from July through June.

All CTBA members are required to affiliate with Honey Hole BCA. Our members do this by subscribing to the Honey Hole magazine. The magazine is a great source of information on Texas tournament lakes, lodging and bass catching techniques. Our club dues are $60 per year. The dues are used to pay our Top Six Team's entry fee to the Honey Hole Top Six Championship, and provide funds for the club's banquet, which is held in June. Beginning in 2002, 30 percent of the club dues are set aside to pay Angler of the Year, Lunker of the Year and Sportsman of the Year award winners.

Central Texas Bass Anglers sponsors an "Open Big Bass Tournament" on Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir on the 1st Saturday each month. Entry fee for this "Big Bass" tournament is $10, with an 80 percent pay-back. Participants register at the Stillhouse Hollow Marina by 6:30 AM. Weigh-in is at 12PM.
